Hello! My name is Peter Wells. By this point, it may be painfully obvious that I am not a web designer (lol). With that established, what/who am I?

My passion lies at the crossroads of creativity and technology, which pushed me early on to acquire a degree in Audio Production. Over a decade in the audio industry, I honed my skills in various capacities, ranging from live sound engineering to audio production and implementation.

An intriguing chance to pivot into the world of aviation maintenance presented itself, and I embraced it with open arms. As an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, I delved into the intricate world of aviation, ensuring the safety and reliability of aircraft. This role sharpened my problem-solving skills and taught me the value of precision and meticulousness.

Despite this shift, my passion for audio and visual media never waned. Years into my Aviation Career, a crippling knee injury prompted a period of reflection and eventually led me to leverage my savings towards a new venture…diving into the realm of programming and game development. This decision was fueled by a desire to combine my artistic sensibilities with my technical acumen in a domain that has always fascinated me.

Over the past two years I have dedicated myself entirely to understanding the intricacies of game development, immersing myself in online courses and engaging with a community of like-minded individuals.

Playable Demo By Peter Wells

Demo Title: Nebby Block Game

This demo is a game vertical slice being built in Unreal 5. The game is a first person tower defense builder. The demo is being built completely from scratch by myself.

This Demo is currently being built and it not available for download yet. I expect to have the first version of the demo available by August 20, 2024. Thank you for your interest and please come back to this website in August to give the demo a try! In the meantime please enjoy some other examples of my work below.

A few environment design projects…

These projects improved my proficiency in mesh asset creation, organization, and general optimization.
Through these and other projects I have also gained affection towards the materials pipeline in Unreal Engine.

A few graphic design projects…

Below are some graphic design projects I have done for clients as a side business.

Sometimes I do Image Restoration…

Below you will see an example of a restoration of a decal from a 1929 Travel Air Biplane for a client from my Aircraft Maintenance Days. In the past I have enjoyed projects like this because they can require a high attention to detail, and the result is rewarding. Below you can see the before and after. This now lives on the tail section of a biplane in Washington State.
